Sips and Smiles is a UK-based wellbeing support service offering individual companionship at home and group engagement in care homes. We use creative activities, meaningful conversations and inspiring outings as combination of practical tools for connection, communication, and day-to-day wellbeing, supporting older adults, people living with dementia, and families who want care that feels human. Alongside this, we also deliver creative sessions for children and intergenerational workshops where families and visiting children can take part, helping bring warmth, purpose, and community into shared spaces.

Our Story

Sips and Smiles was founded by artist Xandria Noir during a time of personal transition. After relocating to the UK, she was met with a deep sense of lost purpose. In search of connection, she trained as a dementia carer and discovered that true healing often begins in the quiet moments: a shared smile, a warm drink, a kind conversation.

With a background in social sciences and fine arts, Xandria immediately brought creativity into care, using art, movement, and meaningful engagement to reach those often overlooked - seniors, people with dementia, and individuals with disabilities and challenging mental health. The simple joy of a cuppa and laughter became the inspiration behind Sips & Smiles.

Today, Sips and Smiles offers inclusive, therapeutic sessions for all ages and abilities, proving that creativity is not just an activity - it’s a lifeline. A smile. A connection. A way back to self.

How it all began...

Sips & Smiles has completed the Community Catalysts development programme which is delivered in partnership with Suffolk County Council. It has met the Doing It Right standards and you can find us listed on the Small Good Stuff directory here.

"With over three decades as an artist, my creative journey took a new turn after spending some time with a close friend living with dementia in the UK. Spending time with them gave me a sense of being useful and having a purpose during a painful time of personal transition at that time . Now, as an artist, care professional and holistic wellbeing coach, I use art not only to support wellbeing but also to bring generations together through creative collaborations and shared experiences.
